I love Ed's method...

But Why couldn't you ghost? I ghost all kind's of things.
You do need to have some idea of where you are coming from and where it's
going to and do a bit of prep but it does work.
I just did my old SQl65 from HP hardware w/Adaptec RAID to a CPQ 1850R with
a RAID 2-p
I did have some prep and aftermath to do but it went pretty smooth...
and it might depend on how much data is there

All said Id still use Ed's method...but along with my backup's I snap an
image now and then for a cheezy backup also..
PS do make sure you have backup's as my old HP blue screened and took a
couple power cycles till it came up

Subject: Replicating an Exchange 55 server?

Before I tackle the issue of upgrading to Exchange 2000, I want to replace
our antiquated server hardware.

Can anyone offer some suggestions on how to best migrate Exchange 55 over to
entirely new hardware. Obviously, I can't simply Ghost the HDs (RAID 5) and
move Windows NT4 to different hardware.

Thank you,
Shawn
