Subject: Exchange 2000 Message Retention Policies

We are in the planning stages for our migration from GroupWise 6 to
Exchange 2000.

Currently within GroupWise, we have a 90 day retention policy for mail
and calendar items. Items past this age are moved to trash, where they
are kept for 2 days before being purged from the system. This is all
handled by the GroupWise server agents without any user intervention
required.

I know that within Exchange 2000, size limits can be set for mailboxes,
and an age threshold can be set for trash, but we really don't care how
much space our message store consumes. Is there a way to enforce our
existing age-based policy in E2k either natively or through a 3rd party
utility?

Thank you.
