I didn't make it at all clear - the backup I'll be taking is an online Exchange backup which will go to file which then get dumped to tape.
What I wasn't sure about was the merits of also having a job to backup the server that backs up the whole thing, as the only way to exclude specific files/folders is to set a backup job that includes all the files/folders that you do want... you add a new folder for some reason, forget to add it to the backup... regards, Paul -- Paul Hutchings Network Administrator, MIRA Ltd.
