If your internal server is an Exchange 5.5 you can configure message archival on the Internet Mail Service. It's not as easy to deal with the data, since each message is a separate file, but it does what you're asking for.

I now have to do journaling with one of my internal server but journaling can only be configure to the Organisation/Site/server level. I cannot only log the Internet Connector. Searching, I have found that the Imsext.dll extension can do Inbound/Outboud journaling (Q262122) to a mailbox but, there is no information about what happen to the read/delivery receipt request attach to the original message now send to the journaling mailbox. Are they remove so if we have to check a message, a receipt will not be generate (as with Exchange journaling) or will a receipt still be generate and sent to the mail originator?
