Exchange 5.5 sp4, Outlook 2000 and 98 I've confused myself at this point.
I have a departing user (A) that is being replaced with new user (B). Of course, user A has a calendar schedule going out a year with numerous others in group meetings. User B would like to continue using the schedule so with User A's permission I've copied User A's calendar into a User B's mailbox into a sub-calendar folder. When I was checking the work by opening a few of the meetings, I noticed that User B is now the meeting organizer. I thought that with the deletion of User A's mailbox, these calendar items would be orphaned and that it would not be appropriate to change them. Typically when I done something of this nature, I've warned the new user that they would be able to print the calendar, but not to alter the existing items other than to delete them and create new items. Am I off base here? Is it possible for these calendar entries to be moved to a new mailbox, say using exmerge, and the new mailbox actually take ownership and continue as the previous user? I've seen changes to items of this nature cause corruption in other mailbox calendars. thanks, Chip Brannon _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
