Security rule was published in the Federal Register on February 20. Compliance date is April 21, 2005. Like you, we're still looking at out options. I did read in Computerworld that Pkware's newest version of pkzip, I believe v6.0, uses better encryption and they feel it will meet HIPAA guidelines.
