I am in the process of removing an Exchange 2000 server from my site. This server was used to during a "swing method" upgrade to temporarily hold users while we upgraded the production servers to 2000. It hasn't had a user's mailbox on it for several weeks and currently only has 3 mailboxes that all appear to be system mailboxes: SMTP, System Attendant, and System Mailbox. No public folders are homed on this server.
I am following Q307917 to remove this server and have performed steps 1 through 7 over the past few days to ensure replication has had time to complete each step. When I go to perform the uninstall I get a message to the effect that there are still mailboxes stored on the server and I am unable to perform the uninstall. Is there a way around this or have I missed something? Should I simply remove the server from the site via System Manager and manually uninstall Exchange? Which is the better way? Thanks for any input. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
