The Exchange Administrator doesn't report on the size of a user's deleted items folder, perhaps you are confusing the amount of data in deleted items retention with the amount of mail in a user's deleted items folder? They aren't the same thing. And... The Outlook client doesn't report on the amount of mail in deleted items retention, but since this the deleted items folder shouldn't simply emptying the deleted items folder take care of anything that was in there? (Oh.. And if there is actually something in there View | Current View is probably set to something which prevents it from being seen at the moment).
