What version of outlook? What is providing name resolution, WINS, or DNS? -----Original Message----- From: MW [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2003 4:06 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Outlook not working right on Windows XP
I have problems getting Outlook to work right on Windows XP. Whenever I install it, I get the message that it "can't connect to the Exchange server", even though I can ping the ip address of the server. Sometimes I can ping the server by name, sometimes not. I can always access files on this server with no problem. I even deleted and recreated the network and Outlook accounts for some of the problem users, but it didn't help. If I log any user in with domain admin rights I have no problem at all. I certainly don't want to give users these rights, though. Same users, same accounts can get into Outlook with no problem on Windows 2000. Any ideas? This has happened consistently for almost every PC with Windows XP on it.
