Actually the server was started, but it wouldn't restart.  At the time the
messages were sent it was running.  Then when it didn't restart, I rentered
the password for that service and it started.  When I did the same for all
the servers the whole mess of email that were "hiding" somewhere showed up.


Do you think they were all on remote systems or could they have been
somewhere else?  Under what cases does something get held in the inbound
ques?

So the IMS was unable to start because of the incorrect password? If so,
they werent hiding, they were queued on the remote servers.
