I suspect more people use VBScript for that kind of thing.

For JavaScript, I rather like the O'Reilly books, such as
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/jscript4/

Danny Goodman's books (http://www.dannyg.com/pubs/index.html) are generally
very useful.

However, none (AFAIK) are geared towards admin scripting. The Microsoft
Windows 2000 Scripting Guide is a useful introduction to that, but it uses
VBScript.
