Blackberry and AD

Customer I am currently working at asked about Blackberry and if it needs to 
write or expand the AD schema or anything like that as Exchange 2000 does. I 
did not know the answer, but I thought I remember this coming up once before 
here. Does Blackberry alter the AD in any way.
