Well they should support it. It worked fine. Oh well another way for
them to make money.

Let me rephrase that. MS will not support E2K on Windows 2003 server.

Exch 2003 Release Notes: While Exchange 2000 SP2 and later is
supported in
an environment with Windows Server 2003 domain controllers and global
catalog servers, Exchange 2003 is the first version of Exchange that is
supported when running on Windows Server 2003. Exchange 2000 is not
supported on Windows Server 2003.

Yes it will. I had it running at home. Why would Microsoft do that?

FYI, Exchange 2000 will NOT run on Windows 2003 server.

Well, since W2k3 isn't released yet, that's not an easy question to
answer.
However, those that are running it in their labs probably have. I have
three servers and two workstations in my home lab and the upgrade was
pretty
simple. Although, my home network is not a complex as most business
networks...

I assume you'd have a test plan and test servers in place prior to you
own
upgrade. That should tell you what pitfalls you may or may not run
into...

The powers that be have decided to move to AD 2003 this summer after
rolling
out AD and Ex2k last summer to our students.

I have checked MS website to see if there are any known issues in doing
this
as some of the powers think that there are conflicts with this upgrade.

Has anyone done this type of upgrade?

Any pointers or help is gratefully received

Thanks
