1. You assume correctly. I recommend performing administration through Terminal Services, though, so that they do not have to log into their primary workstation as an administrator.
2. It depends on what they need to do. We are now in the process of moving to AD and Exchange2K, and will require the same level of access for mailbox adds/deletes/changes. All administration is done remotely from their PC with the 5.5 Administrator program. 1. The Admins currently have ADUC installed locally on their machines for User/Group administration - I am assuming it is a requirement to have ESM installed locally for the Exchange tabs to show up in ADUC? Note: they also have the Exchange5.5 Administrator program installed locally. 2. I need to delegate control for each Admin to their respective Administrative Group. Seeing how they have "Permissions Admin" for their 5.5 Site, do I need to grant Exchange Full Administrator, or will Exchange Administrator suffice. I need for them to be able to do the same things they do today in 5.5 in 2K, but I don't want them to be able to go into ESM and mess around??? Thanks BTW: thanks to all who replied back regarding my inquires on the X400 thread _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
