You don't have to do this (re-enable the account)

Tuan,  how long did you wait after applying the permissions change
before you tried to access the mailbox?  Permissions changes can still
take up to 2 hours to propagate.  There is a Technet article detailing
how to modify that, but I don't have it handy (and don't want to look it
up at the moment).  If you do a search for permissions 2 hours, it ought
to pull it up.

As another alternative, if ALL you want to do is simply export the
contents of the mailbox to a .pst, then you might just want to run
Exmerge.  It will likely run faster and you don't have to use the
Outlook Interface to export to a file.  You would run it on the server
(logged in with your admin account), so the permissions thingy shouldn't
even be an issue.

The the obvious choice would be re-enable the account, reset the
password, and then you don't even need to give anyone access, just log
on as the user, and export the .pst. Done!.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear.  The terminated user account still there
but disable.  I just need to get in to the mailbox and such everything
out to a.pst and give it to someone.
