If you are not using newsgroups, just stop and disable the NNTPSVC service.

I have begun recieving these errors in the Event log

Event ID 100 Source NNTPSVC

The server was unable to logon the Windows NT account 'IUSR_ExchangeSrv'
due to the following error: Logon failure: the specified account password
has expired. The data is the error code.

When at look at the status of this account, it says change password at
next logon. I know this is an IIS acount. My question is, do I need
this account active, and if so will it be a security risk.
