Do you really need some of the space back?  Does the database have a
substantial amount white space that you'll get back?   If the answer to both
those two questions is "yes", then the /D option is the only one that will
get you what you want.

Does your database volume have enough space, i.e., 110% of the current
database size in free space, to perform the defrag?  If the answer is "no",
then you should strongly consider the /T option to avoid wasting time on a
failed attempt.  The 110% figure is a worst-case.  If a large percentage of
your database is free (white) space, then you won't need as much extra
space.

The database is about 17Gb, should the temp option be used since the db is
