Exchange using MAPI won't allow you to use alternate addresses unless
they're in the directory and you have Send As permissions, in which case you
can specify them in the From: field. Being that you're trying to
impersonate external accounts, this may not be a satisfactory approach.

With Outlook 2003 (and I think 2002), if you have multiple e-mail providers,
you can specify in the new message window's Accounts toolbar drop-down list
the particular mail account from which you want to send. If you have one or
more POP or IMAP providers with SMTP in your profile, you can send from any
of them and the correct address should be applied.

Having said all that, I think it still might be better for you to consider
separate profiles for this kind of thing. But Outlook now does allow you
some more function in this regard if you choose to do all this in the same
profile.

Subject: Outlook from address

Good afternoon everyone,

I have Outlook 2000 hooked to Exchange 2000. I want to set up some
additional from address, to respond to messages that redirected to me via
another mail system. All mail sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] gets redirected to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], and I need reply from [EMAIL PROTECTED] I created a internet
mail account, but the problem is, I can't seem to turn off the send/receive
checking, and there is no server to send/receive from. I'm just starting
with Exchange/Outlook, so there may be a better, Exchange, way to do this.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Erick
