I am new to this group but hopefully, someone can assist on this issue. If not, perhaps direct me to another forum? We use OWA, exclusively, on front-end servers with a clustered back-end Exchange 2000. A job requirement is to disallow use of the Global Address List (no entries are allowed to be visible), but hiding the mailboxes is not an option due to a secondary requirement. I have created a group which explicitly denies rights to the object All Global Address Lists and have removed the everyone & authenticated users group but the objects still appear when using the To/Search feature on a new email in OWA. Is there a way to achieve both objectives? Hide the GAL Entries from view but not hide the mailboxes? Does the permission need to be modified on the Global Catalog?
