Martin ... It worked like a charm. Thank you. We now have Outlook and Exchange talking again like before port 135 was closed.
Here is a recap of what we did: Enable VPN on our W2K server. Enable VPN on each client (all are remote) * Had to use the absolute IP address for the server * Changed the host file on the client to reflect adding the IP address * UNCHECK the box that says Use Default Gateway in properties (see below) Config Outlook * From Outlook Today folder, right clicked and choos properties * In General tab, clicked on Advanced * In Connection tab, clicked on the radio button marked, 'Using my phone line' (Yes, even though I have a broadband connection) * Selected VPN from the drop down box. (you will name this when you set up the client VPN) Done ... Now that I know (with your help) what to do, it was fairly straight forward.
