Dear all,

Current situation:-
1/ FQDN DNS server directs MX records to Sendmail server located at DMZ
2/ Firewall allows SMTP packets that destined to Sendmail server
3/ Firewall forward Sendmail SMTP packets to the internal Exchange IMC
Server 5.5 with SP4 running on a NT4 single domain

My desired plan:-
I wish to install GFI Mailsecurity Gateway server on a Windows 2000
Server to become my mail relay server that must scan all Exchange
inbound and outbound mails.

I have installed SMTP service but I am still very confused how I should
route the mail domains on GFI Mailsecurity gateway server and IIS-SMTP
server.

To ensure the GFI mail relay server scans all inbound mails, on the
IIS-SMTP server, do I forward all incoming mails to GFI Mailsecurity
server or to current internal Exchange IMC server?

To ensure the GFI mail relay server scans all outbound mails, on the
internal Exchange IMC server, do I forward all outbound mails to GFI
Mailsecurity server?

As I have tried too many times, I am a bit lost now. For unknown reason,
as soon as I forward all outbound mails to GFI mailsecurity server on
IMC Server, I find all mails are bouncing between GFI mailsecurity
(which is also the IIS-SMTP server) and IMC server.

Can somebody shed some lights here?

Thank you very much for your assistance.
