Did you set up the new DC before demoting the old one? If not, you're screwed.

The exchnage box now just runs as a mail server but since this move am know having trouble setting up new email users, a user will be set up fine and get access to network but not to the exchange mail server. Always wants a domain password, which when entered is said to be incorrect. Seems the old dc is not looking at the new dc correctly. Can not set up a Primary Windows NT account i the user details on exchange. Get an error message from Exchange administrator when looking at old accounts, "no mapping between account names and security Id's was done, Microsoft Windows NT ID no: 0xc0020534". Would appreciate some help _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang =english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
