CommVault Galaxy is very promising. Actually they do not do it brick-style. They still backup individual messages, folders, and mailboxes, but they only backup one instance of a message and then they backup the pointers. So when you need to restore a bunch of mailboxes, you won't be inflating the size of your DB by dumping multiple copies of the same message into it.
