But on the other hand, you could have more control over the traffic flow
if you do two SMTP connectors, one based on the first bridgehead, the
other based on second.

This way you could set up different costs in address space and force
mail to flow through just one of the bridgeheads. Then if there is some
kind of trouble with that bridgehead, you change the cost settings and
force mail to flow through the other bridgehead. In general, Exchange is
supposed to automatically do this kind of stuff based on link state
information, but I have seen cases where it just "locks on" a specific
bridgehead and does not let go.

Whichever way you feel like. I would do one connector based on both
bridgeheads. This way if the smart host's name or IP needs to be
updated, I won't have to do it twice.

That is correct.

Thanks - I will create the additional connectors.....

One more thing relating to this before I create these connectors. I have
2
SMTP outbound servers in this particular routing group - if I want both
servers to be able to send to these domains - do I have to create
separate
connectors on each server for each domain, or can I just create 1
connector
for each domain and specify both servers on the "local bridgeheads"
setting
on the connector?

Thanks
