I agree. However, this person wanted to send e-mail from a batch file. I
interpret that to mean .BAT or .CMD files, for which BLAT is well suited and
ready to go.

You don't need Blat. Any person who calls themselves a developer should have
some knowledge of the different ways you can send mail with CDO.

Subject: Sending email via a batch file

We have a developer that is trying to find a way to send email via a
batch file. Does anyone know if this is possible and what the code is
that he should use? It will be sent to our SMTP server and then out
from there. We tried echoing a telnet session but we cannot figure out
how to do a return command. If you know of something different please
let me know. We are trying to stay away from buying anything third
party.

Thanks
