ESEUTIL /D only recovers unused disk space. If you don't have a lot of white space in your store, and I mean a LOT, I would never run it.

But as I have learned in the past there is no need to run Eseutil /d on the stores unless there are issues. I have an Exchange admin who does this quarterly and I am gathering up information to present my point. On 5/5.5/2000 I have never run eseutil on the databases and the servers ran fine. Maybe I am wrong....After searching the FAQ and Google some advice would be helpful.
