Dismount and remove the PF database holding it? Brute force but it will
disappear.

Subject: [Exchange] Delete a stubborn public folder (Calendar) Ex2007

Hi all,

I have one public calendar that I am for some reason unable to delete. I have
granted myself owner permissions via exchange management shell, as I have done
with numerous other public folders that I have been
able to delete without issue. After giving myself owner permissions, it gives
me the Delete option in the drop down and even goes through everything like it
is going to work, then it hangs and says 5 seconds left….then a bit later it
pops with this message:

Cannot delete this folder. Right-click the folder, and then click Properties to
check your permissions for the folder. See the folder owner or your
administrator to change your permissions. You do not have sufficient
permission to perform this operation on this object. See the folder contact or
your system administrator.

I have checked, and I have even gone to the trouble to remove my permissions
and then re-add them. I have closed outlook (2013) and re-opened it, all to no
avail. This is the LAST public folder in my organization,
and I am this close to permanently doing away with public folders…..and yes, I
was getting this error before it was the last public folder. I got frustrated
and moved on to delete about half a dozen other public folders before coming
back to this last one.

Any ideas as to how I can kill this thing? It does not have any child objects
as far as I can tell.

Thanks,

Jonathan
