If you go to remove a PF, it will tell you if there are still replicas around.

There are PS commands that will tell you, but you can also use Public Folder
Management Console under Tools in EMC to see where PF's are replicated.

I went through that tool line by line when removing a server. I was surprised
at finding out where some replicas lives and others didn't.

I have read through all of this and I think I am ready to dismount my PF's but
they all appear as the First Storage Group in properties. I see the 3 Exchange
2010 servers as replicas but how can I be sure that they are replicated and I
can dismount the PF's on the 2003 server?

If I remember right the last step was removing the PF replica's. For which I
needed Micheal Smith's help. Had to run the powershell command to get it
corrected.

We have had 2010 running for 2 years now.
I don't see any public folder, mailboxes or traffic through the 2003 box we
migrated from.
Can I follow:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg576862(v=exchg.141).aspx
and successfully remove the server from my org?
It's a 2003 member server and I am ready to decommission it.
