About a month ago I posted a question that was debated by a few readers, but William and I were in agreement that owning Exchange 2000 CALs entitles you to the use of Outlook (any version). Since I just received my SP1 shipment from Microsoft, which included Outlook XP & Outlook 2001 for MAC this supported this thought. I was still hesitant to install it without something from Microsoft stating that it was legal. I found what I was looking for on the following site: http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/samguide/tools/cal_guide/exchange.asp Note: Microsoft Outlook client software comes with Microsoft Exchange Server. Customers who purchase Exchange Server may install Outlook on any number of devices for which they have purchased an Exchange CAL. Even if you are using client software other than Microsoft Outlook, a CAL is still required if you are accessing the services of an Exchange Server.
