It is fun.. No more then 10 seconds. Yes it is possible. But you need to install the exchange admin software on the server you want to have Nt backup on. Norton [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, October 25, 2001 8:21 AM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: The sound of toilets flushing I've been diligently working building an Exchange recovery server with the same site and org name as my production server. This server is a member of my domain, named differently from my production Exchange box and has NT and Exchange 5.5 on it at this point. Just found out from AaaarghServeIT that their software will only restore the Info store to a server named exactly the same as the one it was backed up from. Their solution is to REMOVE my production server from the network, build and name my recovery server the same as my production box, add it to my network, restore and recover as necessary, remove that from my network then add the production box back in. As Don Ely once stated, I now have sparks shooting out of my eyes. Is it possible to use NT backup over the network to back up the info store from the production server then restore it over the network to a recovery server of a different name? FYI: ArcServeIT CDs will not flush in most toilets unless broken into at least four pieces. Thanks for your help.
