Little OT I know, but I need to be able to view the event logs on a NT4SP6, Ex55 box from a W2K Pro workstation. I can access these fine using 'Connect to another computer' but the event reads: 'The description for Event ID (xxx) in Source (xxx) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event:' It then lists the arguments for the event. Does anyone have any idea what these DLL files are and where I can get them, so I can read the full information without having to trawl through Technet to find the Event ID all the time. Oh, and walking to the server isn't an option - It's about 200 miles south of here!
