What would be the advantage of making the change listed in article Q194131?  It disables the advertising of esmtp extensions but still displays an almost identical message.
 
Before the change:
 
220 <host fully qualified domain name> ESMTP Server (Microsoft Exchange
   Internet Mail Service 5.5.2232.0) Ready.
 
After the change:
 
220 <host fully qualified domain name>  SMTP Server (Microsoft Exchange
   Internet Mail Service 5.5.2232.0) Ready.
