Disk space on exchange server

Hello,   I know there were lots of discussions on this subject some time back. I have read all postings relating to ESEUTIL from Scott, Kevin, William and Don. My problem is I have an array of 54 GB on an exchange enterprise 5.5 on NT. Last month I had a free space of 2.68 GB, since then I have got all big mailboxes archived on to CD�s/DVD�s. As per my calculations, at least 8 GB was freed up. But it still shows 2.68 GB free space for last one month.
