You'll need to be in the \etc\mail directory. In your virtusertable file
where all of your users reside, that file contains how your email is
received. Basically, at the top of the file will be "@yourdomain.com
[EMAIL PROTECTED]" statement. That will route all
incoming mail for that domain to the smtp connector on the exchange server
and you should be fine from there on out.

If you don't want to do it for the entire domain the do something like
"[EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]" and only those
specified user accounts will be routed to the SMTP connector on the exchange
server.

That's what I was thinking, is that it was a connector problem. The
Microsoft "Exchange Expert" said I was configured properly. I'm not really
sure how to configure send mail for a smtp connector can you help

You need to configure the SMTP connector to route all mail to the Sendmail
host. You then need to configure the Sendmail host to route all of the mail
to the SMTP connector on Exchange. Preferably via FQDN...

Of course, I haven't done this with E2K yet, but I have done it and am doing
it at my current site with Exch 5.5...

Hi all
I have a problem with a pilot of Exchange2000. Hope someone can help.I have
a call opened with Microsoft Exchange Deptmartment they can't figure it out.
I have a Unix send mail server (our primary mail server for now at
least) I am trying
to get sendmail to forward mail to my Exchange server (only for a few users
for
now) I have talented on port 25 from the send mail server, the Exchange
server, the firewall & send mail from each to the Exchange server. I have
configured the Aliases & .profile table on send mail to forward my mail to
the Exchange server. All host tables are correct. The sendmail server
doesn't seem to forward my mail to the Exchange server. I have to specify
the IP of the sendmail server in the pop3 section of the outlook 2000
internet e-mail. I can send from Exchange thru my send mail server(acting as
a smart host)out the firewall to my yahoo account. I can send from Exchange
to my Exchange account. So it does receive & send. I'm stuck on why I can't
forward my mail from send mail to Exchange. ANy help would be great. Brien
