Yes, we have done this twice!!! I don't have an answer for you regarding the
non-user mailboxes as I haven't done this process to a server that had
connector-type mailboxes.

Subject: Moving users to another server to resolve priv.edb corruption
Has anyone used the method described in Q188646 to resolve a corrupted
priv.edb?
We have been getting the errors as described causing our backup to fail (and
also similar messages when the on-line defrag runs). As our last backup is
now Tuesday evening, restoring from a current backup is not an option. I
have created a second server in the same site, and have commenced the task
of moving the users' mailboxes to the new server. The kb article says that
once the users have been moved the empty priv.edb can be deleted, and once
the IS is restarted a pristine non-corrupted priv.edb will be created. No
specific mention is made of the non-user mailboxes - the Internet Mail
Service, FaxMaker Connector, GroupShield mailbox agent. Do they need to be
moved or will the relevant service etc. recreate them anyway?
Many thanks in advance for any pointers that might save me some grief on
Sunday!
Karen
