If he exported his groupwise out to disk (out of the POA structure) then
what you really have is a csv file with a nab extention.
Rename the nab file to csv.
Import using the regular Outlook file|Import export options.
Map fields. This will be nasty, nasty.
But it can be done.

Does he have a palm pilot he can sync with?

Subject: importing Novell Address Book into MS Outlook

Apologies for the slightly OT subject. I have a new user who previously
worked in a GroupWise environment. He wants to import his Novell
Address
Book (.NAB) file into MS Outlook. Is this possible? Searched on the MS
site for some tips, no go.

TIA
