I guess I have been lucky then. I got burnt on a W2K upgrade in the spring this year,
but aside from that, things seem to work out. Even in the spring, it was my mistake as
opposed to an MS flaw. Logically, you would upgrade the back end first, as the front
end store (which I understand should be nuked if it is all set up correctly) is the
least of your worries. And in my case, I wanted to upgrade a server that currently
only hosts one mailbox first to eval the effects of SP2. I was happy with it, so I
moved on to my other back end. As of yesterday, I am SP2 across the board.

Man!!!

You are much more courageous than I am!!! When it comes to M$, I
ALWAYS read (... and wait a bit) and follow the instructions before
installing anything whatsoever. They (kinda) have problems making their
products work correctly the first time, so... when it comes to hotfixes,
SPs, patches, etc I read, then wait AND then install.

Oh bot, well, just to clarify. I upgraded my back end first, and it all
works perfectly. To be fair, I have not answered the Web Access question
as I have not as yet, had the opportunity to check for changes, but my
bosses are all using it successfully.

Careful!!!!

If you read MS' release doc on SP2, they suggest to update the
front-end BEFORE the back-end. If the back-end is updated first, chances
are the front-end will not be able to communicate with the back-end.

Did you update your backend server first?

Thanks!

Dear all,

I have applied SP2 to my Owa front-end server , in the hope to have the
feature " the logoff" option .
But on completing the SP2 .I don't have the new option in my web
interface. Is there a special setting or intervention to do ?

Has anyone tested this ?

Kind regards.

Verbeke Johan.
