My question would be if I got an email and knew it was from Max. Max called me and told me what was in the email then I deleted it before reading. Is that considered a read email? Is something in my preview view considered read? To just cover for those would involve creating some type of form and/or asp documents. Guess what we block most email asp and url in emails.

The downside is definitely greater than the potential gain, I think. If you are distributing company policy and you want a confirmation that they've read the document, there is probably a better way. I have been sent e-mails like that and have deleted them before reading (unless someone called and told me it was coming). ellery -----Original Message----- From: Cross, Tom [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2001 12:29 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: Looking for ideas Say that someone want to sends out a message and (1) wants to know it was delivered, and (2) wants users to acknowledge that they have read it. We're talking about 5000 users. I thought about having him send it with delivery rcpt with his reply to: address pointing to a public folder address. Is there way to put a check box that the user has to check before they can reply (or something similiar) to help prove that they read it? Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed.
