They do not appear at all?

Can you send them an email?

Hi. I tried this today, but still, am having troubles. I deleted the user
mailboxes, and then waited for about an hour, and then recreated them.
Still, they do not appear in the address list, and they do not appear in the
mailbox list for the information store.

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on what is going on here?

I had this same problem just this week.
In the Event Viewer (not sure which log, system,application,etc..) I had a
lot of errors saying that the exchange server did not belong to the Exchange
Domain Servers group. Exchange kept trying to add the computer account to
the group but failed.

What I did was reinstall SP2 and restarted and that fixed it for me.

It's Saturday, and my previous experience of posts on the weekends is that
they understandably end up in the Monday morning recycle bin, so I am hoping
that somebody picks up on the topic here :-)

E2K Enterprise SP2, W2K SP2

Last week I created 3 new user accounts, and when prompted to create a
mailbox, specified the server I wanted them on, etc. When I looked at the
properties for the user, they indicated the mailbox resides on the server I
specified. However, on the email addresses tab it was blank, nada, nothing,
and the mailboxes did not show on the store on the server, and the users
were not in the GAL. I posted this, but did not get too far. Normally, my
default recipient policy will apply about 15 SMTP addresses to any new user
or contact I create.

Today, I created about 6 new contacts in the AD, and entered SMTP addresses
for each of them. Again the email address tab for each contact is blank, and
the contact does not show in the GAL.

Then, add to this, that sometimes my display name appends a GDY to the end,
when there are no such policies, entries on my account properties for alias
or display name.

I am thinking there is a problem in the AD itself, but to be fair, I moved
to Enterprise a few weeks back, and I cannot recall adding a user or contact
until now, so it may be to do with that. (But I did re-apply SP2 after the
upgrade!)

I am really quite baffled (as stated), and a bit frustrated as the contacts
I added were for Western Union, so kinda useful for us.

Anyhow, any insights will be totally appreciated!
