Hello,
perhaps a win2k list would have a better explination, but- there is not a hard, fast # set for SAM size in NT 4.0. If I remember correctly, the 40 meg limit is a recommendation, and different objects are different sizes (ie printers vs users etc) not to split hairs though... see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q130914&SD=MSKB& My understanding of Active Directory is its limited (supported) to one million objects per domain. Although I thought it is technically limited by hardware...see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q196464&SD=MSKB& Patrick harshang shah <harshang98@yahoo To: "MS-Exchange Admin Issues" .com> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> cc: 02/27/2002 03:05 Subject: Active Directory Limitation ! AM Please respond to "MS-Exchange Admin Issues" Hi ! Does anyone out here has any idea abt the maximum size and object limitation of Active directory in a single domain model are. I have read many books and got all different types of numbers but I'm curious to know the exact number like the limitation of 40,000 objects we know for windows NT in a single domain model .If there are any KB articles for it then you can post them right away .
