Here's the deal:

OWA (5.5 definitely and IMHO 2000 also) can use the views created with
Outlook under a particular special circumstance. That is:

If you create a new view with Outlook as "This folder visible to
everyone" and have the setting "Automatically generate Microsoft
Exchange views" on the folder properties enabled (default) the view will
be, maybe with some delay, available in OWA.

My guess is now that those of your clients who see the "Sent Items" view
have modified their own "Sent Items" view with Outlook (maybe only
changed the column size). Why would this cause OWA to show such a view?

The point is that the "Sent Items" view shown in Outlook actually isn't
a built-in Outlook view. It is a view *created* by Outlook on your Sent
Items folder. This "Sent Items" view is actually a view of the type
"This folder visible to everyone" and you can see that it if you look at
the folder Properties|Administration tab and open the dropdown list.
You'll see "Sent Items" listed there. This dropdown only lists view of
the type "This folder visible to everyone".

Makes sense?
