How do you try it? Would you connect the machine like: http://mail.domain.com/owa or something?

That is correct.

OWA is installed on your Exchange2000 server automatically (try it).

For OWA in 2000 on a separate server, you need the Enterprise Version.  The backend servers can be the standard version.

Look for the FrontEnd/BackEnd deployment whitepaper.

In Exchange 5.5, this could be done.  Am I missing something, or is this no longer possible in E2k?  Is it true that I have to purchase the "Advanced" edition for this feature?  If so, that really sucks.
