Title: Custom Permissions to the Directory
Look on www.CDOLive.com or slipstick  for the address form... it tells you what permissions to set and HR can use the form to change everything but Manager.  If you don't find it there I have a copy of the form.  The Outlook Security patch will break the form tho.

Subject: Custom Permissions to the Directory

Looking for some input on Custom Directory Permissions.  My Company is currently exploring different possibilities for an online Personnel Directory.  I of course am a big fan of not duplicating efforts.  Thanks to our friend Siegfried Weber I was able to show a little web app that can publish the Exchange Directory.  Why create another directory when you already have one?

Now for the maintenance.  HR of course wants to be the controlling authority for the content, which makes perfect sense.  Us techies never keep that info up to date.  If we go with this solution, I will have to come up with a simple way for them to update Exchange.  I was just looking for some input from anyone who may have setup their EX 5.5 server so that someone else could manage the directory.  I need to set it up so that HR can only change certain fields and cannot delete any accounts.

Can someone point me in the right direction.

Oh, and if anyone wants to see the web app I'm talking about you can check here... http://www.cdolive.com/phonelist.htm
