Subject: Exchange move question

Just to double check. We have an existing W2K/SP2 with E2K/SP1 on a DC. We had some issues with Nimda (that is another long story....) and then we had problems getting the Exchange to work properly again so we built a brand new machine with W2K/SP2 & E2K/SP2 and I moved all the mailboxes over. Users now can send/receive mail without problems from that new installation.

Here comes the tricky part: on the initial machine where we have Exchange, can I just uninstall Exchange alltogether without affecting any roles/schema/whatever on our network? Is there anything else I have to move over? Since Exchange is so meshed into AD I'm afraid that by uninstalling it I will wreck something else.....

We have another DC on the network so I would think that all the AD stuff is beein replicated as it should, just don't know if that affects Exchange.

        Any comments?
