Here is something I actually posted for someone else recently.

OK, here is my Trend spiel.
I am now in my second company where I have done a full Trend rollout using
their Neat Suite product.
http://www.antivirus.com/products/neatsuite/exchange.htm I paid 3K for a 100
User license.
This bundle includes the VirusWall gateway, Scanmail for Exch, Server
Protect, and Office Protect for the desktops. These conversions came about
from two virus outbreaks that McAffee and/or Norton could not contain. The
first was ILOVEYOU. We upgraded to Scanmail mid virus. It passed though our
Groupshield, but I was able to contain it from being executed (thank god for
small env). I literally downloaded and installed Scanmail on the fly. No
testing, nothing. Just went for it and never looked back. We later upgraded
the rest of the clients.
They called my the virus hunter there because nothing ever got past me
again.
At my latest gig, we were running the whole Mcaffee suite here. My first
week we had a big outbreak. We ended up rebuilding about 20 PC's and a
couple of servers. Once again, we upgraded to Trend.

So I can tell you, first hand,. Mcaffee isn't good enough. Period. As long
as you use it, you will get virus's that pass right through it. Its better
than nothing, but not good enough.

Now here is a bonus about OfficeProtect. If you run it via a logon script,
it will automatically uninstall NAI, or NAV and then install itself.
WONDERFUL!! Lot less work for you.
We have also found that our stations are much more stable than they were on
Mcaffee/NAI.

Honestly, I do not believe you can buy a better product. I know Antigen is a
fine product, but it only covers your Exch box. It isn't going to protect
you when someone opens a hotmail message. That WS will still get infected. I
demod Antigen when I did the Exch rollout. It is a fine product, but I
dislike the GUI. In the end the guy from Antigen asked me "If you could have
either Trend or Antigen today and they were both free, which would you
pick?". I said Trend. I couldn't leave what to me has been a perfect program
behind. That just how much I love it. I sleep well at night knowing that I
am covered by the best money can buy.

Hi all,
I have sent this to both lists as it covers both Exchange and NT.

I have read with interest a lot of threads with regards to whether or not
one should use AV on servers/exchange etc.. and I am of the opinion that the
more the merrier.

Currently we have been using NAV 7.6 corp for our desktops, file server and
exchagne server. It is now time to renew and when I informed the boss about
the price, she wants me to review the options. From the looks of thing
Trends Neat Suite would cost me about the same, so what I am really looking
for is a solid comparison betweent the NAV and Trend suites.

I need to protect the following.

File server
Exchange Server
Terminal Server (This is new so not currently protected by NAV) 50 Desktops
some laptops. Centralised management is a must.

At the moment I am going to review the Trend Suite to see what the features
are for the $$ but would like some experienced opinions. I am also
considering implementing Mail Marshall... do people think this is a good
idea or overkill?

Thanks in advance.

Jason Dwyer
