Oops... backwards.

 

Removing the SMTP address prevents inbound only.  Outbound is prevented at the IMS.

If you are on 5.5, removing the SMTP address will prevent outbound email only, as a matter of FAQ.

 

In 2000, an SMTP address is required... it just doesn't have to be correct.

No you don't. Just remove the SMTP addy and they are locked

Unless the Exchange guru's know of a way to do this (Kevin, William), I don't believe you can do it.  If you have a mailbox on Exchange, you have internet mail, period.

Ive put a user on the list of rejections on the Internet Mail Service properties so he cannot send email to the outside world.

Ive restarted the Internet Mail Service.

This user can still send extrenal emails.. what did i do wrong?>
