Yeah... unfortunately, my boss wants a little more of an answer. This did happen with
another domain (incidentally both are gov't agencies, both used this non-standard
addressing, and I think both are running Groupwise). So, this time I need some more
ammo.

Well, If it is one particular domain and it works everywhere else, I think you
already absolved yourself of any wrongdoing.

besides [EMAIL PROTECTED] is always easier anyway.

just my 2c.

I'm seeing a rather strange problem here. When users attempt to send mail to 1
particular domain... it's taking hours for the mail to get there. I have seen this
once before. Here's what I see happening:

Users on my side are attempting to email people at another domain. The e-mail
addresses published for this domain are [EMAIL PROTECTED] instead of the typical
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with a mx record. They do have a mx record... and if you email the
remote site @domain.com the mail arrives in a matter of seconds. However if you
e-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] it takes hours.

So, the simple answer is to just tell people to e-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] However, I
need an answer as to why this is happening so that I can clear our side of any wrong
doing.

Preston
