I have a situation where my Exchange server does a DNS query for a particular domain. The domain in question has three MX records listed, two of which are not valid. The first record in the set in the valid one but my Exchange box is taking the third one. I suspect this has to do with the weight of the listing in DNS. Since I have been unable to get a response from the admin of the recipient domain to fix the problem I wanted to statically map a record for this one particular server. I tried the HOSTS file and entering a record into my internal DNS but no luck. Any ideas there?
