have had this happen before as well, try deleting the outlook profile and recreate it -- it should make the problem go away.

Subject: Stange problem - Outlook goes to sleep?

I have a strange problem and I'm not sure where it's coming from.  We are running Exchange 5.5 and mostly Windows 2000/Outlook 2000 and a couple Windows XP/Outlook XP.  Normally, when a new message arrives, it automatically appears in Outlook.  When you type a new message and hit send, it goes immediately.

A few weeks ago, a few of us noticed a change.  Now, new mail only pops up when you're moving around in Outlook generating activity.  I'll be working in another app and pop over to Outlook, click on a message, then a whole bunch of e-mails come in all at the same time.  When I type a new message and hit send, it sits in the Outbox until I either click around on messages or click on the Outbox and it sends.  It's almost like it goes to sleep and has to be woke up.  All other network connectivity is fine.

Anyone else ever seen something like this?  Thanks in advance
