Subject: Offline Folder

Hope someone can help with this...

I have a user who has just taken possession of a shiny new Laptop with Windows XP and Office XP (Outlook 2002).

I have set up his Email to look at Exchange Server without any probs. I had to then set up offline folder for him and setup syncronising etc.

The problem is this..... He has a profile on the same machine that does NOT connect to the server, rather he logs into the Laptop OS itself.... How do I setup Outlook to use the Offline Folder (OST) file in his other profile (ie the profile he uses to connect to company Network ?

If this isnt the best way to do it, have you any other suggestions ?? It has been suggested that he can log onto the laptop with his Network username and password, and get logged in, even though the laptop isnt connected to it. Explanation being the laptop willl hold details of recent loggins. If that is the case, how long does the details get held ?? If this is the case and holds it for long period of time, it would negate the need to have a local loggin at all.

Cheers
